The Fisheries Council of Canada (FCC) and Silliker Canada Co. to sponsor new two-day workshop:
"Fish Spoilage and Sensory Evaluation-Shellfish"
Designed for processors, importers, wholesalers and inspection personnel, participants will learn the types and indicators of fish spoilage, and odour description and identification for: white shrimp, freshwater shrimp, black tiger shrimp, sea scallops, Argentine scallops, bay scallops, and crab.
Drawing on their years of experience, professionals will share their insights and knowledge during this comprehensive technical session.
The first workshop will be held Septmeber 14-15, 2010 at the Silliker facility in Burnaby, BC.
The second workshop will take place October 19-20, 2010 at the Silliker laboratory in Markham, ON.
