Natural Health Product Services

The Silliker research and development team was the recipient of a substantial government grant in 1997 to develop methodologies for the identification and quantitation of active components in herbal medicines and natural health products using state-of-the-art technology such as LC/MS/MS and HPLC. As the result of this grant and the research conducted in this area, we are now one of the leaders in North America in the field of testing herbal medicines. Our services include:

Auditing:

Our auditors have years of experience in almost every food industry and segment of the food chain. Silliker Auditors are among the most highly trained in the industry. They participate in annual calibration programs to ensure consistency from auditor to auditor, regardless of background. Buyers and suppliers know Silliker auditors are tough, but fair. Through our comprehensive reports you can identify potential risks in your safety and quality programs and implement corrective actions. Services include self-inspection and import inspections.

Contract Research:

Silliker offers a wide range of expertise in areas of contract research from shelf-life, stability studies to multi-disciplinary projects and method developent and validation. We have a pilot scale laboratory that is supported by a full range of chemical and microbiological services. Our staff can assist at all stages from the development of experimental design to analyzing data and evaluating progress through to completion of the project.
